Alaska Yellow Cedar (Callitropsis nootkatensis), also known as Nootka Cypress or Yellow Cedar, is a hardy, slow-growing conifer native to the Pacific Northwest of North America. The cultivar ‘Sparkling Arrow’, is an upright form with slender weeping branches that are dusted with a creamy yellow variegation. The overall effect is like a variegated cascade of delicate foliage. There is a fine specimen at Seven Gables near the parking area. It was planted in 2021 by Scott Carver.
