Seven Gables is more than just a park; it is an arboretum and a historical treasure.
This enchanting space is a legacy left to us by the distinguished Carlisle resident, James Williamson Bosler. Bosler not only purchased the property but also meticulously planted a variety of unique and exotic trees, including the Nordman Fir, Oriental Spruce, and Hinoki Cypress, which are typically found only in arboreta.
Friends of Seven Gables was organized to conserve this legacy. It’s been fun. With effort, we believe we can make Seven Gables a botanical garden of which our community can be proud!
